Made stitch by stitch.

Embroidery Methods

Different embroidery methods create different levels of texture, dimension, and detail. The right approach depends on the artwork, product, and finished look.

  • Purple flowers embroidered in flat stitches on pink fabric.

    Flat Embroidery

Traditional stitched embroidery that sits close to the surface of the product. A versatile choice for logos, lettering, and detailed brand marks across polos, jackets, hats, uniforms, bags, and other products.

  • Raised blue letter D embroidered on the front of a navy trucker cap.

    3D Puff Embroidery

Foam is placed beneath the stitching to create raised, dimensional artwork. Particularly effective for bold lettering, logos, and simplified graphics on structured caps and other compatible products.

  • Green fabric letters with white stitched borders appliqued onto gray apparel.

    Appliqué

Fabric elements are cut and sewn onto the product as part of the embroidered design. Well suited for larger lettering, numbers, layered graphics, and applications where the material itself becomes part of the look.

  • Gold and blue embroidered search-and-rescue patch sewn onto an olive quilted jacket.

    Embroidered Patches

Artwork is embroidered onto a separate patch rather than directly onto the product. Useful for hats, uniforms, workwear, bags, and applications where the patch becomes a distinct part of the design.

Thread & Color

Thread color and finish are part of getting the embroidered mark right. We select thread based on the artwork, product, and intended use rather than asking you to specify the technical details.

  • Spools of embroidery thread in purple, blue, turquoise and other colors.

    Standard Embroidery Thread

Durable, colorfast thread used across most embroidered apparel, headwear, workwear, bags, and accessories. Available in a broad range of colors for consistent brand reproduction.

  • Spools of shiny embroidery thread in gold, silver and other colors.

    Specialty Threads

Metallic, reflective, and other decorative thread options can add texture, finish, or visual effect when the design calls for something beyond standard embroidery.

Embroidery Placements

Placement changes how embroidery relates to both the product and the person wearing it. From a traditional left-chest logo to dimensional embroidery across the front of a cap, each location creates a different brand presence.

  1. Left Chest

Traditional logo placement on polos, shirts, jackets, and other upper-body apparel.

  2. Right Chest

Secondary placement for names, titles, departments, or additional brand identification.

  3. Hat Front

Primary embroidery area for logos, lettering, and dimensional designs on compatible headwear.

  4. Hat Side

Smaller placement for secondary marks, dates, locations, or supporting graphics.

  5. Hat Back

Compact placement for secondary branding, lettering, or supporting marks.

  6. Sleeve

Secondary embroidery placement for logos, departments, sponsors, or supporting brand elements.

  7. Upper Back

Embroidery positioned below the collar for organization names, secondary branding, or other supporting marks.

Good questions.

Yes. We select thread colors to closely match established brand standards and approved artwork. Available thread colors and the characteristics of embroidery can affect the final match, so we’ll recommend the closest appropriate option.
Most logos can be adapted for embroidery, but very small type, fine lines, gradients, and intricate details may need to be adjusted. We’ll prepare the artwork so the embroidered version remains clean and recognizable.
Flat embroidery sits close to the surface and works across a wide range of products and artwork styles. 3D puff uses foam beneath the stitching to create a raised effect and works best with bold, simplified artwork on compatible products.
Often, but not always without adjustment. A logo may need to be sized or prepared differently for a cap, polo, jacket, or bag because each product has different construction and available embroidery areas. We make those adjustments while keeping the brand consistent.
Yes. Depending on the product, embroidery can appear on the chest, sleeve, front or side of a hat, upper back, and other compatible locations.
